Tappeiner Walk

Considered one of the most beautiful walks and most visited sights in Merano, it offers splendid views of the city and the Adige Valley. The 3 km path runs along the Merano Mountain, giving the opportunity to admire a mix of alpine and Mediterranean vegetation and spectacular views.

The Tirolo  chairlift, a fantastic and efficient example of public transport, provides quick access to the village of Tirolo and the surrounding mountains from April to October. An environmentally friendly option that allows to admire the beautiful alpine scenery in and around Merano.

Tyrol Castle

Perched on a majestic hill with breathtaking views, this is a typical South Tyrolean castle with famous Romanesque portals and frescoes. The former residence of the Counts of Tyrol, it has a long medieval history and today houses the Cultural History Museum of the Province of Bolzano.
