Named after the river that runs through the city and splits it in two, the promenade runs along the right bank in the city centre. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing stroll, enjoying the views of the river, the flower beds and the historic buildings.

Kunst Merano Arte: a contemporary art experience. Explore 500 m² of exhibition space spread over three floors, where design merges with the latest trends in figurative art, architecture, literature, music, photography, and new media. Curated by the cultural association Merano Arte, Kunst Merano Arte offers a dynamic program, creating a perfect blend of aesthetics and innovation, a must-visit for art lovers during their stay in Merano.

Considered one of the most beautiful walks and most visited sights in Merano, it offers splendid views of the city and the Adige Valley. The 3 km path runs along the Merano Mountain, giving the opportunity to admire a mix of alpine and Mediterranean vegetation and spectacular views.

In the main square of Merano, the Puccini theatre is a special place where cultural events, plays and operas are performed in a unique and special atmosphere. Architectural elegance is the hallmark of this town square.

In the heart of the Texel Group Nature Park, at an altitude of 2,500 metres, the ten lakes of Sopranes enchant all visitors with their dazzling colours and sizes. Their settings are ideal for nature walks and mountain hikes, not far from the city of Tyrol.

The ski and hiking area of Merano 2000, above Merano and Avelengo, offers a truly extensive combination of hiking trails, peaks, ski slopes, tobogganing runs and mountain huts. A perfect destination for summer excursions or many winter sports.

A lively cultural meeting place, the Women's Museum of Merano was conceived by women who wanted to share and promote women's knowledge, experiences and self-representations. History, art and themed exhibitions dedicated to women make this museum unique.

The Tirolo  chairlift, a fantastic and efficient example of public transport, provides quick access to the village of Tirolo and the surrounding mountains from April to October. An environmentally friendly option that allows to admire the beautiful alpine scenery in and around Merano.

Perched on a majestic hill with breathtaking views, this is a typical South Tyrolean castle with famous Romanesque portals and frescoes. The former residence of the Counts of Tyrol, it has a long medieval history and today houses the Cultural History Museum of the Province of Bolzano.
